EDUCATIONAL IMPACT THEATRE - WHERE EVERYBODY PLAYS
OTHER PROGRAMS - GENERAL
We at CPP are always thinking about new programs that can utilize the amazing vehicle of theatre to reach more of our valleys youth with lessons and growth experiences that are unique to this medium. To date, such programs have fallen into the categories of Partnership Programs and Special Events..
Over the years, these programs have taken on a variety of forms, including:
On-campus programs working at individual schools during the school day to prepare and perform a production. In some instances a single class of students are the participants, in others children from across grades have participated.
After-school programs where multiple schools partnered with CPP to provide an activity for their students to participate in and learn along the way.
Joint ventures with other non-profits (including Martha's Village & Kitchen) to provide their members with the opportunity to learn and grow through theatre.
GATE Student summer drama program in conjunction with Coachella Valley School District schools.
Individual topic 1-2 day workshops (including: cold-reading skills, auditioning skills, voice and diction, and more)
"Rehearsal" workshops in conjunction with major production rehearsals to learn and hone basic acting skills
Multi-week workshops designed to develop and build acting skills (e.g., our Fall Acting Skills and Performance Workshop).
Outside organization events: where CPP students perform a production to entertain an organizations members at the organization's event (e.g., performed at Variety Club International event; also performed an Earth Day program in conjunction with SCRAPS gallery for local schools).
