Anyone from 5 to 18 that is willing and able to follow directions. Older actors will be considered for some roles.

WHEN ARE REHEARSALS?

For The Rocky Monster Show, Elf Jr., Aladdin, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. rehearsals will be primarily Saturdays and Sundays.

Not everyone is called each rehearsal until run-through rehearsals.

For The Spians and Youth Take the Stage, rehearsals will likely be Monday evening and or Thursday after school.

Most will be at CPP's Youtheatre Players' space in the Shops at Palm Desert (formerly Westfield Mall).

NOTE: If Aladdin is performed in conjunction with the Riverside County Fair, then some rehearsals may be at the County Fairgrounds in Indio.

ACTING AUDITIONS

For the "acting audition", you can come with a short, already prepared monologue that should highlight your ability to ACT (not just read or speak). We will have optional cold-read monologues that you can use if you have no monologue already prepared.

SINGING AUDITIONS

For singing auditions, you will prepare an approximately 30-45 second portion of a song of your choice. It should be age appropriate and with family-friendly lyrics. It need not start at the beginning of the song, but should be a part of the song that highlights your vocal strength. You may sing a capella or bring an instrumental (karaoke) track noting the start and stop time you want to use for your track. You are strongly discouraged from bring a track with someone else singing lead vocals.
