EDUCATIONAL IMPACT THEATRE - WHERE EVERYBODY PLAYS
CHILDRENS PLAYTIME PRODUCTIONS PROUDLY PRESENTS OUR SPRING 2013 MAJOR PRODUCTION!
Audiences OF ALL AGES will be captivated. Young Milo is bored with everything despite having everything when a surprise package arrives at his door addressed to him. Milo assembles the contents to find, of all things, a tollbooth! Driving his toy car through the tollbooth lands Milo smack in the middle of the Land of Wisdom where his adventures begin. With the help of some new friends - Tock the Watchdog and The Humbug - Milo navigates his way to and through Dictionopolis - where King Azaz teaches Milo to choose his words wisely - and on to Digitopolis - where King Azaz's brother, the Mathemagician, teaches Milo a few things about numbers. Milo discovers that things are not all good in the Land of Wisdom where the two brothers can never agree on what's most important - words or numbers. Learning that things used to be harmonious in the land before Princesses Sweet Rhyme and Pure Reason were banished, Milo agrees to try to rescue the princesses from their captivity in the castle-in-the-air. Milo's successful adventures through the Land of Ignorance restore rhyme and reason to the Land of Wisdom and leave Milo with a new attitude toward learning and life when it is time for him to return home through the tollbooth at last. Attending schools will receive a package of Educational Support Materials containing related vocabulary, lesson plans, activities, and exercises for class use before and after the shows.
