This proven workshop combines theatre games, exercises and activities with casting in a traveling production in order to build and hone acting and other skills. Participants will be cast in groups (up to three groups of six or seven performers each are anticipated) to perform in a recreation of an episode of G I L L I G A N' S I S L A N D which will go "on the road" with each group traveling to different senior homes, assisted living, and other senior facilities throughout the valley to bring entertainment and joy to the valley's seniors. A concluding ceremony and cast party will be held at the end and will include final performances by each group for invited family and friends. Participants will receive certificates of completion and letters of community service for performances.
