Guided by experienced instructors, these students created a one of a kind story that will thoroughly entertain audiences of all ages.
In a nod to Soap Operas of old, As the Compass Spins follows a group of youth on their way to Camp Adventure. Armed with a trusty, antique compass, they are confident that they cannot be knocked off course. Until the compass breaks, of course, and seems to spin out of control!
Enter the compass guides who step in to steer our Campers in the direction of kindness and selflessness. As they are faced with dilemmas that require them to choose a course of action, they learn that they advance more quickly when they come to the assistance of others.
Before returning home, they successfully encounter AND help - talking animals whose forest is threatened by flood waters, hungry Zombie's whose transformation is the result of a misguided Evil Scientists' attempt to get friends, Mushroom People whose Village is threatened by a Lion, and a land of birds where Horton the dodo needs help hatching her egg.
As they make their best choices, the direction guides open new portals to lead them through the lessons they need to embrace. In the end, they are returned home and reunited with the rest of their camp friends fresh with the knowledge that We are ALL in this Together and Treating People with Kindness is the key to having positive adventures.
