RUDOLPH AND FROSTY’S HOLIDAY ADVENTURE!

The Big (you know . .  Jolly, Ho Ho HO) Guy sends his elves on a mission to re-discover Joy in the Holiday Season. Because the lack of joy has resulted in more than usual darkness, the Elves turn, once again, to Rudolph with his nose so bright to guide the sleigh snow boards (get real, you don’t think they’d be allowed to take the sleigh this close to Christmas, do you?). With the help of the other reindeer (yeah, you know their names!), and a friend made of Snow that comes to life wearing a top hot (Spoiler Alert: it’s Frosty!), they set out on an adventure that leads them to discover Holiday traditions from other cultures that all share one common thread – peace, love and joy belong to everyone!

This original story, based upon the Roger Emerson and Hal Leonard musical December In Our Town, highlights the various Holiday celebrations that take place in December throughout different cultures. These include Christmas (Christian and Secular), Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, and Solstice. Through songs from each celebration, and a little bit of background, the audience sees that there does not have to be just one way to celebrate peace on earth!  With that lesson embraced, Joy once again returns to the world (and allows Rudolph to go back into semi-retirement – of course, he will still referee the Reindeer Games)!

There are 6 shows over the 3 days to choose from, but seating is limited in the Youtheatre Players Space - so make sure you reserve your spaces early!  Seating is general and all tickets will be held in Will Call under the purchasers name.

Be aware, as a youth organization, all audience members may not  be fully vaccinated.  It is recommended that all patrons bring and wear masks for the performance.  Masks will be available if needed.
